Venue Description:

Widely considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful buildings and a powerful symbol of the splendour of London, St Paul’s Cathedral is a breath taking events venue.

With five fascinating event spaces, St Paul’s Cathedral is the ideal setting for dinners for up to 250 and receptions for up to 350 as well as daytime conferencing and private lunches for up to 70. The event spaces contain some of the oldest and most beautiful architectural features in the cathedral but have been transformed into flexible venues ideal for corporate hospitality.

St Paul's Cathedral works with some of London's most prestigious caterers who offer a bespoke service and great attention to detail. St Paul's also has a number of recommended suppliers who can assist with providing lighting, flowers and entertainment for events.

Guests are also able to experience the grandeur of the building by privately accessing the cathedral floor during their events. Tour guides and musical performances can also be organised to make events at the cathedral even more unique and memorable. Each event at St Paul’s can be tailored to your needs and the cathedral's dedicated Corporate Events Team would also be delighted to offer advice and assistance to make your event a success.


The Wren Suite

The Wren Suite is available for both day and evening hire, and makes an exceptional space in which to meet, mingle and work.

Containing some of the oldest and most beautiful architectural features in St Paul’s Cathedral, the Wren Suite combines the splendour of Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece with the comfort and con

During the day the space can accommodate 70 people theatre style, 30 boardroom style and 60 cabaret style. The Suite boasts in-built AV equipment, including a LCD back-screen projector and high-quality PA system.

The space also benefits from a sizeable ante-chamber, called the Beehive, which can be used for refreshments, break-out sessions and buffet lunches.

In the evening, the Wren Suite can accommodate up to 60 people for a seated dinner and 100 for a standing reception. With its vaulted ceiling and golden stone walls, the Wren Suite is the ideal setting for an elegant drinks reception or an intimate dinner.

The Crypt

The crypt of St Paul’s Cathedral is the largest in Europe and can accommodate up to 250 guests for a seated dinner and 350 for a standing reception.

The inspiring surroundings are the final resting place of some of the nation's greatest heroes, poets and scientists including Sir Christopher Wren, Admiral Lord Nelson and the Duke of Wellington, making the crypt a truly unique and historic events space.

When hiring the crypt for a dinner, it is also possible to book the Nelson Chamber for pre-dinner drinks. The Admiral's tomb stands proudly in the centre of this circular chamber, directly beneath the dome of the cathedral. Boasting an original tiled mosaic floor and a breathtaking vaulted ceiling , the Nelson Chamber is an exceedingly elegant area to host pre-dinner drinks.

Temple Bar

Also available for smaller events is Sir Christopher Wren's Temple Bar.

Temple Bar is a unique structure that marked the gateway to the City of London for 200 years, and has graced many locations throughout its lifetime.

Recently, Temple Bar was moved to its present location at Paternoster Square, opposite St Paul's Cathedral, and makes a wonderful setting for both daytime and evening functions.

Temple Bar can accommodate boardroom style meetings for up to 14, standing receptions for up to 20, and can seat up to 12 for dinner.

The Nelson Chamber

The Nelson Chamber, located in the cathedral’s crypt, can be hired for standing receptions of up to 250 guests in the evening.

The rotunda space is centred around the tomb of Admiral Lord Nelson, which stands proudly as the focal point of the chamber. With an intricate tiled mosaic floor and breathtaking vaulted ceiling, the Nelson Chamber is an exceedingly elegant space in which to hold a drinks reception.

The North Churchyard

St Paul’s first outdoor venue, the North Churchyard offers a relaxed and secluded garden space, in the shadow of the breathtaking facade of the Cathedral.

The North Churchyard can accommodate receptions and BBQs for up to 250 and is one of the only outdoor event spaces located within the City of London.
