The Wallace Collection is situated off Oxford street, in the heart of London's West End. It's home, Hertford House, is a palatial town house occupying an entire side of a tranquil garden square.

The 25 galleries contain unsurpassed displays of French 18th-century art including furniture, porcelain and gold snuff boxes of the finest quality often with illustrious provenances from royal collections. The museum also contains an extraordinary array of masterpieces by some of the greatest names of European art, such as Titian, Rembrandt and Hals.

Hertford House is a spectacular setting for entertaining and can host a variety of events. The glamorous galleries and the contrasting contemporary glazed Courtyard make Hertford House the perfect venue for corporate entertaining, exclusive private parties and unique wedding receptions.

Built by Rick Mather Architects in 2000, the Courtyard is a contemporary space that contrasts beautifully with the 18th-century architecture of Hertford House.

The luxurious surroundings of this newly refurbished suite of drawing rooms showcase the museum's world-famous collection of 18th-century French art. Decorated with opulent silk wall coverings and upholstery, and displaying treasures that belonged to Marie Antoinette and Madame de Pompadour, these glamorous rooms are perfect for more intimate parties

Intimate dinners can be held in either the Dining Room (capacity 40) or the State Room (capacity 30) on the ground floor. Pre-Dinner drinks are served in selected galleries on the first floor where guests can enjoy an exclusive private view of the Collection.

Great Gallery Dinner
For up to 120 guests

£15,000 (Monday to Sunday)

The Great Gallery is located on the first floor and hire of this room for dinner is limited to 12 evenings per year. Guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapes in the refurbished first floor drawing rooms followed by dinner surrounded by some of Europe's finest Old Masters.

Guests have unlimited access to the first floor galleries, including the refurbished drawing rooms. The focal point of the reception is the spectacular Great Gallery, an enormous picture gallery where guests can view Frans Hals' famous painting, The Laughing Cavalier, along with many other fabulous Old Master paintings.

For receptions with between 250 and 400 guests we would also open our contemporary glazed Courtyard in the centre of the museum so the guests can have access to the entirety of Hertford House's entertaining spaces.

Wallace Collection guide lecturers can enhance your event by providing your guests with fascinating additional insight into the treasures of the Collection. Guides can give formal tours or can be on hand to answer questions as required. Guide lecturers are available for a fee of £150 per guide.

Additional time can be arranged in advance for a fee of £1,500 pro-rata per hour until midnight. Please note that the minimum hire fee for Friday and Saturday nights is £10,000.

The hire fee covers the exclusive hire of the Wallace Collection, an Event Manager and security for the Collection.
